Hello Alberta UBC Members,

The United Brotherhood of Carpenters takes pride in having the largest and most comprehensive training facility globally.

The UBC Department of Education and Training (DET) offers programs to UBC members, enhancing their skills in communication, leadership, management, and more at the UBC International Training Centre in Las Vegas.

Upcoming Programs:

Journey Level Leadership Program

1. Attendees develop leadership, mentoring, coaching, and communication skills.
2. Learn to engage with newer members and lead by example.
3. Promote positive work environments and productivity on the job.
4. Dates: 
   1. June 6 – 8
   2. July 25 – 27
   3. October 3 – 5

3rd Year Apprentice Program

1. Seasoned apprentices gain a deeper understanding of the Brotherhood and the construction industry.
2. Learn about the role union members play in industry success.
3. Understand how professionalism, productivity, skill, and attitude contribute to personal and employer success.
4. Dates:
   1. June 6 – 8
   2. August 8 – 10.

A stipend and wage reimbursement may be available. 

Airfare, accommodations, meals, and transport to-and-from the Airport in Las Vegas will be provided.
