The Alberta Carpenters Training Centre in Edmonton has a new five-day Intro to Commercial Concrete Forms course running from March 24-28, 2025. We encourage members who are qualified to register for this course while it is on the course schedule. 

This course could be a skill requirement for upcoming work with our signatory contractors. It is intended to prepare our members for the construction worksite and introduce the basic fundamentals of concrete formwork. Focusing on commercial formwork, including shear walls, columns and suspended slabs. Participants will be required to demonstrate both skill and knowledge of the curriculum and material presented in this course. 

Five days, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

$50.00 registration fee 

Prerequisites:

• Member in good standing
• Completion of Period 1 Carpentry
• Union Status of Second Year carpenter or higher
