National Day for Truth and Reconciliation UBC webinar Sept. 30

with No Comments

The UBC Canadian District office will be observing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30. The district feels it is imperative to not only honour this day but also facilitate our continued education regarding the legacy of residential schools and the profound injustices inflicted on First Nations, Inuit, and the Métis Nation.

One of the ways the Canadian District is recognizing this day is by hosting a webinar for all UBC staff, training centres, and members.

This webinar is 50 minutes in duration and will include remarks from District Vice President Jason Rowe and guest speaker Tibetha Kimble, who will speak about the importance and significance of Truth and Reconciliation.

It is the hope of the Canadian District office that all UBC leadership, staff and as many members as possible will take time on September 30 to participate in this Zoom webinar to help recognize the importance of the observance.

Date: September 30, 2021
